Prodiamine question on app rates
I am trying to make sure I understand the label instructions. My goal is to do two applications, one now and one in the spring, for Poa Annual and Crabgrass control. I read that the application rate is 0.185-0.55oz per K, but I'm unsure how to select a value in this range. I figured it was grass typ...

Re: Moss or mold issues
The tricky part is that the big dogs are just part of the equation, so I just have to make the best of it. Im trying to use obstacles to re-route traffic patterns and also hitting with BLSC, Milo and including in my soil plan. I may also do a soil test to see if it is any different in this area of t...

Re: Moss or mold issues
Shade and compaction are very likely the key issues. pH in the front lawn is good, but I don't know for sure in the back. Speaking of cattle... My dogs complicate soil testing in this area and also complicate any solution. The issue is that the dogs have to stay or the wife has to go, so I'll live w...

Like just continue to follow your soil remediation plan and ignore the moss?

Moss or mold issues
I am looking for ideas on how to best deal with a moss or mold issue in my back yard. It is worse this year due to the substantial rain in our area. This area of yard doesn't get much sun due to tall trees surrounding it. It is also a fenced in area where my two 100lb dogs hang out. Honestly, I'm no...

Re: What should I do? Bentgrass/poa annua & triv :(
I had a similar problem emerge in July and decided to hit it with tenacity. The issue is that I now have big white spots where the tenacity was applied. I'm suspicious that the problem is worse this year due to excess rain in the East. Here is my yard post treatment: https://s33.postimg.cc/m2d3rrfbv...

Re: 2018: What did you do on your lawn today?
Cut at 4" and dropped 12-12-12 as part of my soil plan. Also, sprayed BLSC and Kelp Help. Finally, assembled my Chapin 4 gallon backpack sprayer that just arrived. That sprayer is going to be really heavy when full...I'm sensing a tractor mounted unit in my future

Re: Kentster Soil Test Evaluation
Andy,
Thanks for the note, but are you saying that I got it right? Sorry, I'm still really green and get a little nervous that I might screw this up.

Re: What kind of critter is this digging under my lawn
Dchall, I'm in Lewisberry, PA. I've been moderately irritated by the digging voles (or whatever they are). Good points...I'll update my profile.

Re: Kentster Soil Test Evaluation
Ok my friendly neighborhood lawn wizards: I am reading the fall fert routine and want to make sure that I get it right. I think I'm ok with the timing, but unclear on the blending of the soil plan with the fall. I am planning to keep up the soil plan and will drop milo with micros two weeks before l...

Free aeration!
Actually, I have the same thing. I've always assumed voles or moles of some kind.

Re: Tenacity rate and mixing
Ok, so I mixed up the Tenacity and put it down. Then, I went to the beach for about a week. Honestly, it was such a tiny amount of Tenacity, I never thought it would work. Well, it worked. The problem is that my wife wants to know when the big white spots in the yard will be gone

Lawn square footage calculator using Google maps
I found a handy free tool for measuring the size of my lawn using Google maps. Basically, you find your address, zoom in and draw a set of points around your lawn. The calculator will tell you the square footage of the area outlined. I found it handy and thought others might appreciate it too. Here ...

Re: Progress report
ken-n-nancy, I think you did mention it (or somebody did)... I had read on the forum to do it in multiple layers as you mixed it, so I ended up doing about 3-4 levels of mixing, i.e. add a little milo, spray, add some micros, mix and repeat. I guess I over did it a bit, but I was worried that I woul...
