Re: Coming along

Gary, very nice! Are you saying that it filled in the gaps quickly? What seeds did you put?

I remember Williams was on my copy before. What do you mean by online dealers only? Is it different from that link?

Thanks andy! :)

Re: help me analyze the failure

Hi Mallory, Here is a pic of what I meant when I said seeds landed on the roots. I recreated what I saw last year. It's exactly looks how it was last year :D The roots I was referring to was dark brown, thin, really curly hairy as shown on pic. I am not good in describing things. :) About mowing, I ...

help me analyze the failure

Last year, I overseeded my lawn. However, from what I can tell, only few germinated. I would like to correct it this year. I still can't do it from scratch due to wifey. Here are things I did and hopefully someone can pinpoint the cause to make it fail. 1. mow-bag really low 2. aerated well 3. drop ...

Re: Moonlight KBG injury question

Don't worry diclemeg, they will come back. I left 3 big burlapped viburnum trees for 2 months. When the tree was finally planted, it left a 24" diameter dead spots. I was very very disappointed. After few days, grass blades started coming out. I was lucky because it kept raining that week. By the en...

So it's a poa annua then. It's a Canon Powershot SD550. I like my old one, SD400. It's more sharper. This one produces picture a bit more on the soft side.

Re: is this KBG?

I thought I saw bestlawn posted in this thread. I remember she was asking for pictures. Anyways, here is the latest pics. The height just grew a little but it spread. It's bigger now. Pic 1 Pic 2 I'm not sure that type of grass I have. All I know is that it's a mixed of kbg, prg and tttf. This is ba...

Here is the latest info about the cracked corn I spread last week. They're all color white now. LOL. They became like popcorn. Will it still work?

Re: white grubs

Yes, I am sure I have grub. I widened my garden beds recently and I saw many white grubs.I heard that if you have more than 8 grubs per sqft, it's a problem. I don't have that many but still, one grub already killed a very small part. Yes, you are correct. I read somewhere that applying it now is no...

white grubs

Sorry if this has been asked million times. :D I'm looking for something not expensive but works prettly well. I would like to control white grubs. They're almost within the top 2 or 3 inches of the soil now. I'm thinking of purchasing the Bayer 24 hour grub kill. However, I'm not sure if it really ...

Re: dead grass

Yep, I only water deeply when grass needs it. How do I find out if my lawn has a thatch issue? Can we say the lawn has a thatch issue if dead grass clippings are on soil for a long time? I core aerated last week. Hopefully, it will help. About the lawn maturity, my lawn is 1 yr older than the one I ...

dead grass

Hi. I would like to know why I still have many dead grass while my neighbor's lawn have already kicked in. Is it because that I didn't put fertilizer in October or November? Could it be the tons of grass clippings that I left last year? I've never seen my neighbors detatched their lawn but I am temp...

Re: cracked corn

I went ahead and bought 2 50 lbs of cracked corn. My spreader never had any issue with it. My setting was at 16. However, many went to the garden bed and I am bit worried that they will sprout. Are they easy to pull? What are the chances that those will sprout?

Thanks!

turf_toes,

I'll visit it again after 2 weeks. From what I have noticed since last year, the height never changed. Maybe it did but barely noticeable.

There is already grass and as well as crabgrass. And some dead patches due to my application of RU on weeds last year.

This area also got overseeded with KBG seeds last year.
