Re: Anyone heard of Anuvia Fertilizer

Yes, I think it is very similar to Screemin' Green. I put out an app of about 10 pounds earlier this week, so far I am pretty pleased with results, but will continue to monitor over the next few weeks to see what all I notice.

Re: Anyone heard of Anuvia Fertilizer

stated that it's a premium product over Milorganite How so? Not based on what I'm seeing on the label. Sure there's some organic component for some slow release, but it's still mostly ammonium sulfate and muriate of potash. ammoniacal nitrogen sources tied up with the carbon with the addition of su...

Looks like a slug to me. They will eat through the leaves of your plants.

Re: Bonehead things you've seen done

I live in a new subdivision and my neighbor across the street has had his tree staked and tied down for almost 2 years. I'm pretty sure the damn tree is straight at this point. I have told him on multiple occasions that the tree will straighten itself out naturally over time lol..now he has string t...

Anyone heard of Anuvia Fertilizer

So I was out yesterday at a local landscape company and they had a pallet of a product called Anuvia. I have heard the grass factor talk about it recently on YouTube and stated that it's a premium product over Milorganite. Has anyone heard about this or have thoughts on it. See info below from the b...

Re: Silly Dog Pee Question - Seriously

I have trained my dog to pee in the mulch beds. He does it now without me even guiding him there.

Was this this past Spring, or last Fall? How large an area did you apply the 2 gallons of mixed solution to?
I mostly spot sprayed, but a few areas I blanket sprayed. This was all done this spring.

Re: Tenacity Lawn Damage

Well at first I thought it was normal, but it seems like it's getting worse. Been about 2 and a half almost 3 weeks since last app.

Tenacity Lawn Damage

I applied tenacity at 1 teaspoon per 2 gallons of water, and did two applications over 3-4 weeks. There are spots that have stayed bleached and look damaged, if not dying. The growth in these spots has been stunted and looks bleached.

Re: Casutherland - 2018 Soil Sample Results

It's not the soil-friendly product I look for, but we can figure that out when we're closer to the finish line. Just keep moving.... Here's a few updates on the yard this spring. Put out an app of soybean meal last night before the heavy rain. https://s18.postimg.cc/j9h6y6tbp/IMG_20180328_182905.jp...

Re: The Jealousy Starts...

I definitely can feel your pain Andy..while we have not had snow here in Nashville, we have had 6" of rain so far this year just on SATURDAY..so much for trying to do anything to my yard. Another 2-4" of rain is in the forecast for this week. While we have not had much snow this winter, we have had ...

Hosta Fertilizing - Blood Meal

I picked up a 3 lbs bag of blood meal today to fertilize my 10 or so hosta plants. They have started a leaf out slighty. Is now the best time to fertilize them, or should I wait? How much should I use per hosta?

Re: 2018: What did you do on your lawn today?

Tornado watches and warnings yesterday, and a dusting of snow tonight...just another day in TN. Literally every time I go put out seed in my bare areas and cover it with peat moss..we get a freaking heavy down pour and it all washes off...-_-

Re: How 'bout it Transition zone?

Okay, it's a couple weeks of cold weather and snow later and I've done nothing! The yard is ready for a mow aside from the snow on the ground. I don't have weeknights available so weekends are my only option and they aren't cooperating.Anyone else in the same boat? Yes, we have had similar weather ...

Re: Casutherland - 2018 Soil Sample Results

The 0-0-60 is Muriate of Potash, not Sulfate of Potash. It's harsher on the lawn and soil, but don't return it - just don't repeat the mistake. On the Milorganite, I'm trying to say use 60% of the total, per app. So if 36 lbs is the right amount per whole month in a single app, you should make two ...

Re: Casutherland - 2018 Soil Sample Results

Not really what I'm trying to say... In a sandy soil, things don't hang around, so we force them to be available by doling them out in smaller amounts, more often. A bag of Milorganite on 2500 sq ft is the perfect rate for a single bag. What I'm trying to promote is 60% of that rate, every two week...

Re: Casutherland - 2018 Soil Sample Results

I read your 2017 results/recommendations, and your new test. While most of the ratios are fine, the new test is estimating the TEC at a little-lower 8.49 and that moves us toward a sandier estimate of the soil. That and your statement that they stole and sold the topsoil with no replacement tells m...

I use Bifen IT. First few seasons I used it out of a high pressure sprayer to get better atomization but now I just use a hose end. Near as I can tell identical results in a fifth the time. We are in the mid Atlantic with Asian tiger mosquitos I can second that...Bifen works tremendously well espec...
