Re: I need some help with this weed and a plan to attack in TTTF reno
Rather than assume, why not read the label of Ortho Clover, Chickweed and Oxalis Killer (or other triclopyr product) with regard to when it's safe to spray a newly seeded lawn? Then reconsider spot spraying with triclopyr. It seems obvious to me that mesotrione is not a great choice for controlling ...

At this time I can only confirm that it is slightly cheaper.

Yup, Valley Green in Wilmington should have 0-0-50. I've posted about it numerous times.

Why not just read the section "APPLICATION DIRECTIONS FOR ORNAMENTAL TURF" on the label for BRUSHTOX Brush Killer?

Re: Getting rid of Greenbriar
We eliminated it promptly and successfully by digging when we moved to TX from IL back in 1984, but the soil was pure sand (easy to dig), and there wasn't any vegetation of value on the new-construction property besides the trees. Just all greenbrier, poison oak, Texas bullnettle (evil!), sandbur, p...

And are you certain it's crabgrass? Looks more like a running species like St. Augustine.

Re: Can I kill weeds before spring seeding / Overseeding?
Then there's my approach. Knowing there's KBG in there, I'd hit the weeds, stay on top of the weeds from here on out, get pre-M down, skip the seed, get working on the soil, keep it fed and watered and mowed (mulched) without skipping a beat, and get that lawn in great shape in a year or two. I have...

Re: 'New' House old lawn Restoration 2020
Sounds like it was a good idea to remove the one when the two were so close together. Many ornamental pears (non-fruiting) in particular are very columnar (reaching straight for the sky). But one thing I've found with both fruiting and non-fruiting pears is that heavy pruning never ends well as it t...

Nah, I'm far more interested in the "bad chainsaw moment" and why your pear tree looks nothing like a pear tree, structure-wise and bark-wise. But, yikes. I was entertained, though, by your seamless transition between the catastrophe and the purchase.

Re: First Time Homeowner Looking for Help
1) Why are you considering the max dose? Being in the north, our application rates are notably less than the those in the south. This label is fairly useless on that point compared to other Dimension products I've used. Reading only this label, I wouldn't consider applying any more than 3.6 lbs/k, a...

^+1. Do reread ken-n-nancy's bullet #1. It's spot on and should preclude you from asking that question.

Re: Morning Glory Madness - Help!
So this year it looks like I'll be sticking bindweed into a bud vase with glyphosate. Sounds fun. Just gotta make sure the bud vase is beyond secure, probably held up by cinder blocks. Don't want that tipping over! And just to be clear: I've never let any of it mature enough to flower. I stay on top...

Re: Morning Glory Madness - Help!
Fuhgettaboutit. Andy, what you posted will be invaluable for anyone wise enough to use search in the future. (Wishful thinking!) I think we've appropriately concluded that an organic approach is not wise if one is dealing with bindweed, in case that happens to be the OP's nemesis. Given that annual ...

Re: Morning Glory Madness - Help!
Nice! Of course, we're still speculating until the OP decides to chime in and confirm what he/she is truly dealing with, at least with regard to this particular thread. And he/she wants an organic solution.
