I had PM on about 1 ksf of shady area turf but it spread further than ever before. I put some tomatoes in the affected area and then sprayed the area with dac to make sure the PM did not damage the tomatoes.

Maybe try and get the muffler off after it gets up to operating temperature? Be safe though. I would use welding gloves or something to handle it.
