Re: How to Interpret Your Own Soil Test Report
I just thought that since this group seems very interested in higher level management, the readers here might be interested in (and maybe even benefit from) a deeper understanding of the soil test interpretation process. In short, it seems like most people here want to know as much as they can abou...

Re: How soon to water in urea?
I've gotten lucky so far and have had rain the last three weekends right after I put down the urea. I'm mowing like crazy!

Re: How to get rid of Moles?
I was in your situation last year. For those with moles, this thread should be required reading . I had great success with the Trapline mole traps , thanks to the members of this site! Read that entire thread on the Trapline traps, get some traps, and away with moles! Agreed. Trapline mole traps. I...

People are telling me I should have rolled in my seed. Should I have? [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/iPhone.png I recently did an over seed w/peat moss top dressing. No roller but drove over it with lawn tractor. I ended up with good germination thus far.

Re: Storing Urea...
Mine has been in my garage/basement area and I've noticed no degradation. Although, I wouldn't know what I was looking for. It looks just as it did when I bought it nearly two years ago. Does it become inert? Mine is stored up off the ground. Relative humidity in the room is usually 65-70% throughou...

Re: 2016: What did you do to or on your lawn today?
Broke down and bought prodiamine to spray. I've been putting it off for too long. I've been spreading granular products but the cost savings was just too great to continue doing that.

This was the link provided to me for over seeding. I have followed it closely. So far, lots of new sprouts coming in. Watering has been key.

Re: Walmart Milorganite Sale
I will say that link on the first page was inaccurate for me, which it does state is possible. It showed 40 bags for one location at $3 and in actuality they had 3 bags at $5. I decided not to waste a trip as I have enough left from the True Value sale in the spring. I'll probably just wait and hope...

Re: Walmart Milorganite Sale
Anybody else call Wal Mart and find it impossible to have the lawn and garden person understand the word "Milorganite"! I called 3 around me and I said Milorganite probably 50 times. Even enunciated as slow as possible. Hell, I spelled it too. One guy came back and said we don't have any "metechobon...

I just checked the Wal Mart inventory link from the first page of this thread. Three Wal Marts within a 20 mile radius of me have 40 bags at $3 each. I'll be headed out tomorrow morning.

Re: Show us your Lawn
I should mention that my sister finally lost her battle with cancer in June. She fought long and hard 2 1/2 yrs beyond her original prognosis. So to be honest, my heart wasn't into my yard this year. I'm very sorry for your loss. It seems as though everyone has someone in their life that has had ca...

Re: When to put down POA pre-m app?
I'm trying to source Prodiamine granular but am having trouble. Site One near me doesn't carry it. I've heard that Western PA will have the Internet soon Oh I've found it online. Too expensive. Might try without it this year anyway. Just got the internet's. I can do so much  [ Post made via i...

Billy,
You are saying that Prodiamine now would have minimal affect on poa and other weed grasses?. I was going to apply this weekend if I could find it.

Re: When to put down POA pre-m app?
I use the pre emergent for broad leaf control more than Poa. I still have some thin spots in the lawn that get weeds if I don't use it. Although I could control those with WBG as well. I hate spot spraying weeds. That backpack sprayer kills me even when not fully loaded.
