Sprayed triclopyr on the front yard. I didn't want to wait too much longer because the temps seem to be on an upward swing now. Chickweed has really spread well throughout my front yard, much better than my actual grass.

This thread made me go out and get a cigar. I got a Drew Estate Acid Toast Maduro. Yummy!

Re: The Official BL/ATY Cigar Thread...

I always enjoyed a Macanudo Maduro. Haven't had cigar in years though. Damn GERD. I was a fan of the v cut myself. It was a good, easy draw with that cut.

Put down other half of Dimension split application. I think I'm going to try and source prodiamine for the fall. My closest Site One store didn't carry it.

Sounds like he just missed them. I don't think I would've missed.

The chain flying off and hitting the back windshield was my first thought too. My wife brought up the ratchet straps and I decided to stick with the rope.

400-500lbs was about what I figured. I probably would've slipped a disc in my back if I really would've strained to lift it! I filled the hole with the stuff laying there and the rest will be topsoil.

Re: 2016: What did you do to or on your lawn today?

I have a ton of henbit again this year. Fortunately, it's the only broadleaf weed I notice right now that heavy. I'll be spot spraying that this weekend. Is that because my mid August pre m doesn't last long enough? Maybe prodiamine instead. Pre-Ms generally don't address broadleaf weeds. What did ...

Re: Selling House FSBO - Anyone Done It?

A little perspective from the other side. My wife and I purchased our first home without an agent. We went to the sellers house and sat down with them and drew up a contract that had everything each side wanted in it. Then we had a home inspection done (he wasn't so good). Then we got the ball rolli...

Re: Mowing after rain

I don't think that would be a problem. Mine was damp when I mowed last night. I just mowed four days ago too. I did use the leaf blower over the entire yard to break up the clumps. What a pain.

Re: Weird Bug in Maple Tree

If you saved one you could take it into your local county extension center, if you have one, and they may be able to identify it. We had drugstore beetles when we first moved into our house and they identified those stating they were attracted to pet food. I demolished the kitchen and found a big, r...

Put the gorilla cart together. Only 3 of the wheels touched. Exchanged it for another one and it was fine. Hooked it up to the tractor and took the kids for a ride in the rain. They loved it!

Check out the Earthway 2170. 100# hopper capacity, pneumatic tires, and a solid linkage. Check the thread below (if you haven't already). I put up some pics of this spreader next to an edge guard mini. It's on zoro.com for $160. I couldn't find it on jet.com anymore. http://aroundtheyard.com/equipme...
