Re: I Dislike This Phone
What is it with Samsung and removing the SD card from upper-end phones? OK, I get it. They're not the fastest. I could use a USB-C drive if I want to offload photos other than to my computer, like on a trip. But they're cheap, mean I can skimp just a bit on (expensive) flash memory, and store TONS ...

Re: I Dislike This Phone
I bought a Samsung Galaxy A12 last year as my first cell phone ever (I'm tech-avoidant until I suddenly go tech-dependent). It's not that I hate it--hate is a strong word--but it only has 16 Gb of storage, 3 Gb of RAM, and it's not exactly what I'd call fast. The camera is...OK. I rapidly started u...

I haven't tried, but wouldn't think so. Voles are a subterranean meat. For that, try the following: 1 gallon water 1-2 oz castor oil (Soaper's Choice has castor oil cheaper but you can get smaller amounts at the drug store in the baby laxative aisle; kept dark and room temperature, lifespan is 5+ y...

I would call domyown.com and ask them about this. It seems like it wouldn't be a problem if you follow the label, but why not call the 800#?

Re: 2022: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Also pondering whether or not to apply any more late-spring fertilizer. Trying to balance the line between supplying enough fertilizer to keep the grass growing without pushing lush growth when the heat of summer arrives to just encourage fungal diseases. Probably should have been applying Serenade...

Re: Is it important to raise/lower the small wheels on mower deck?
Thanks so much for the info/pics. Aside from scalping the lawn a bit though, and I guess possible damaging/dulling blades, any other major damage that might occur to tractor if I keep the scalp wheels too high? You sort of answered your question... scalp wheels are for scalping protection :). If yo...

Re: Mosquito Joe Alternative
the solution is right here https://mosquitosnipersystem.com/ cheap and works great, attaches to whatever blower you have. Crazy the stuff people come up with! :) Are you using it? My fear would be the risk of blasting the pesticides all over the place. I'd want a full head covering and face mask to...

Not cheap but they work great (keep 'em greased): http...

Re: Is it important to raise/lower the small wheels on mower deck?
ok, I think you mean the scalping wheels on your deck, and I have a process to set and maintain them. I have a cub cadet garden tractor and my 2 acres are hilly and uneven, so I worry about this a lot. Here are a few things to consider based on my experience (generally screwing these things up first...

Re: How long after applications should I Soil test?
Thank you Andy, While I agree with your statement now, I made the lime application based on the initial soil test before I found this site. The silver lining being, I found this site in search for answers to the original soil test and won't make that mistake again. If you were me, would you test th...

I would contact the building dept of your township. In my township soil they will shut you down for not controlling erosion. I appreciate it. I have been in contact with them already. Long story short, the person in charge is very responsive. However, I have documented all of my attempts (12 total)...

Re: Mosquito Joe Alternative
Update on this... I have 2 acres along a creek with main yard fenced in. Lately, mosquito activity has been picking up and I've been lazy about spraying. Yesterday, I used the 4-gallon backpack to spray 2 gallons of Bifen IT mix (1 oz/gallon) in the areas near the water and some bushes in shaded are...

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens
"How do you solve a problem like Urea?" Yeah, it's usually just labeled "urea" with 46-0-0 on it. Mine also has "fertilizer grade" and a biuret percentage on it--mine's well-labeled. But if it says urea and has the aforementioned numbers, it's fast-release, and pure urea. Do. Not. Spill. On. Lawn. ...
