Re: Serenade On Sale?
Got my order today thanks to living close to the Amazon Kenosha DC. I didn't see an expiration date but did e-mail Bayer with the lot numbers and asked about the manufacturing and expiration dates.

TrueValue has two different Dimension-based Pre-Ms, one from Bonide and another from Jonathan Green, on their website with free ship-to-store. They are $21-$23 for 5K at bag rate. Amazon has the Scotts Halts product for $17 for 5K coverage at bag rate.

Last Fall when I ordered 25# of their KBG blend ("SS1100") it came in a bag. If the bucket is important, I would call/e-mail and ask.

Re: New Milwaukee KBG lawn
But, I have an idea -- you're in Milwaukee and the price of Milorganite is cheap. Why not accelerate the Milorganite to every three weeks and the extra Phosphorus will close the gap? Does that work for you? I'd SO hate to tell a Milwaukee guy that he doesn't need Milorganite -- it seems there would...

Re: 2016: What did you do to or on your lawn today?
I put down 80 cu. ft. of mulch. This is the first year I have had to do that since previously I had rock mulch. I saw the earlier post about Lowe's "2 for 10" sale and due to a stupid math error on my part :blackeye: converting the cubic yard requirement provided by my builder to cubic feet, I ended...

New Milwaukee KBG lawn
BACKGROUND I moved this past summer to a new construction home in a western suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There is 10,000 sq. ft. of lawn that was compost-seeded at the beginning of August 2015 with the "SS1100" KBG blend (equal parts Bewitched, Everglade, and Midnight) from SeedSuperStore. The b...

Re: Where do you get your Dimension (0-0-7) from?
I'm also having trouble. Does crop production usually carry stuff like this? Site one told me they don't get enough requests for the non fertilizer product and tried to sell me fertilizer with dimension. Home Depot and lowes didn't carry it in my area. I'm a bit frustrated [ Post made via iPhone ] ...

Re: 2016: What did you do to or on your lawn today?
How'd you get a GDD forecast 6-7 days out? When I look for my area it only shows 5 days out. I plug-in the 6-week forecast from Accuweather.com and calculate the GDD in a spreadsheet based on the formula from Wikipedia. I am 3-4 points different from GDDtracker.net, but that is immaterial and I ass...

Re: 2016: What did you do to or on your lawn today?
"Vacuumed" the lawn with my lawnmower to pick up debris from over winter and leftover material from my compost-seeding last fall, took soil samples to send off to Logan Labs, put down Dimension 0-0-7, and watered it in about 1/4". Weather forecast is light rain, and some snow, over the course of the...

Re: 4-8" Snow This Weekend - Mid-Michigan
I just put my winterizer down this evening since Milwaukee is forecasted for 4"-8" of snow at the end of this week, with lows in the teens over the weekend. I have a new lawn that has never really taken off so I couldn't use the normal guide of whether the grass is still growing (it isn't). You coul...

Thanks Andy. I found a post about using a baking soda solution to spot-treat the affected areas. I will put that down today.

Re: Need help picking seed for WI
My new lawn has been slow to come in and now I think I may have a fungal infection. http://s15.postimg.cc/rvpv5vt07/IMG_20151023_144859545.jpg Is this powdery mildew? The affected areas are on the sides of the house which tend to get more shade than the rest of the lawn. I sprayed some whole milk on...

Re: Need help picking seed for WI
On August 3rd a mix of Bewitched-Everglade-Midnight was "compost seeded". They 2x-3x the amount of seed required but I don't think that is related to my question here. These have started showing up all over my front lawn: http://s18.postimg.cc/vhh9e0uh1/IMG_0389.jpg Are these a concern? Look like mu...

Thanks tandad - that does look like a great find and my new home is literally in walking distance of one of their stores. However, I already had went ahead and ordered the SSS blend this AM. BoatDrinksQ5 - Tenacity is already on-hand. They will be using their starter fertilizer. We will be moving in...

Re: Need help picking seed for WI
Thanks Hoosier and LoneRanger. :hello: I agree that the situation isn't ideal but have resigned myself to it. Looks like I need to decide whether to make a go of it as-is and get a Bewitched/Midnight/Everglade blend from SSS now, or use an off-the-shelf blend (Ridgeline 45%, Oasis 15%, Mallard 10% a...
