Thanks so much for the info/pics.
Aside from scalping the lawn a bit though, and I guess possible damaging/dulling blades, any other major damage that might occur to tractor if I keep the scalp wheels too high?

Re: Is it important to raise/lower the small wheels on mower deck?
Have you tried any of the above? Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. My old tractor didn't even have them, so it wasn't an issue/option. My (new to me a few years ago) JD tractor does have them, but I rarely adjust them (and haven't noticed any difference if I do adjust them, other than adde...

Is it important to raise/lower the small wheels on mower deck?
Aside from potentially stopping scalping of high spots, do I need to worry about raising/lowering the wheels of the deck if I move high vs. low? a) I can never quite figure out where to put them based on the level I'm mowing at (even following the manual it never really feels right) b) I might mow m...

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens
Also, to clarify, I'm referring to fast release urea. I'll have to check the bag closer and see what else it might say.

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens
Is this (see photo below) the correct 46-0-0 urea to use for the fall regimen? I just bought the same item (they looked it up in their computer and re-ordered it for me) that I bought a couple of years ago, but I thought what I bought last time was a much smaller, plain brown bag. This is from a loc...

Re: Josh's 2022 soil test
Also, just to confirm, since I have 20k sf I would use 100 tablespoons of borax each application, which is 6.25 cups. And Epsom salt would be 40 pounds. Assuming that is correct, is it ok to combine 1 cup of borax with one bag of milo (and I'll use 6 bags of milo)? Or is that too much borax per bag ...

Re: Josh's 2022 soil test
Awesome, thanks so much. I still have borax from a few years ago (been in the garage). Is it still good if it didn't get wet/clumpy? I actually have some epsom salt leftover as well I think. Also, I didn't actually neglect it for a couple years, I just didn't do soil tests. I still put down plenty o...

Re: Josh's 2022 soil test
I wanted to add that overall the lawn looks pretty good, though a bit uneven in color/growth (partly due to different grasses/reseeding over past few years, but also some spots are just not quite right). Essentially, a few areas here and there are much lighter (and also some browning) and just not g...

Josh's 2022 soil test
Here are my 2022 results (samples from all over yard, front and back). I also linked to prior tests for reference. Apparently I didn't do tests the last couple of years, I don't recall why (probably due to covid and not wanting to go shop for as many products as normal) I took this year's sample on ...

2 gallon sprayer for Certainty
If I'm spot spraying (not blanket spraying 1k sq ft, or some other large area), is it ok to use a 1 gallon sprayer rather than 2? If so, should I put in half the amount of Certainty so that it's not twice as strong (since I'm diluting with half the water)? I can't quite wrap my ahead around the rati...

Any idea if these are different grasses, uneven seeding times/fertilizer, etc.?
One large area of my yard has been getting patchier and patchier each of the past few years. I've definitely killed off and reseeded various areas within this large area over the years, always reseeding with KBG and sometimes a little PR for speed in germination. But now I have so many areas that ar...

What are these spots on a maple tree?
Any idea what these are? Just noticed them yesterday, but not sure how long they've been there for. Seems to be on almost every leaf (at least the low ones that I can see). Tree is approx. 8 years old. https://i.postimg.cc/HJS0bvhg/2022-05-22-17-55-37.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/62yrcVkG/2022-05-22-17-...

Re: What generally happens if I don't treat fungus (red thread in particular)?
Thanks. I'll hit that area with fungicide. Otherwise there's just a few small spots here and there of either rust or red thread. I'll monitor those and see how it goes (and will hit them if necessary as well).

What generally happens if I don't treat fungus (red thread in particular)?
Assuming the below is red thread, what most likely happens if I ignore it? Aside from the big patch below, there's bits and pieces here and there throughout most of front yard. With new puppy I'm hesitant to put down fungicide (on the other hand, is it worse for puppy if left untreated, as she is of...
