How to spot spray with tenacity & certainty...?
While I fully understand the ratios, and that (as an example and per the directions) I should apply Tenacity as follows; "Spot Application of Tenacity (apply at 1 gallon per 1000 sq ft)...", I never quite know if I spraying too much or too little when spraying random spots (or small-ish areas) aroun...

Yeah, another possible triv question... :(
More triv? I seem to have all of these different looking, bad grasses growing this spring :( This stuff just popped up. I didn't notice it a few days ago, and it certainly wasn't there (or noticeable) last weekend when I was spraying nearby areas (which have since lit up) with Tenacity. https://i.po...

Re: Not sure if triv or something else
I haven't yet sprayed it with anything as it's right in the area where puppy does her business.
That being said, I've been told tenacity is very safe once dry, so I might give it a shot and just keep puppy out of that area for a day or so.

Re: Not sure if triv or something else
I've been pulling some of it, but there's a bit too much sporadically throughout one section to really keep doing that (but I'll keep trying). It's mostly a piece or two here and there (but many of them), rather than big sections to just pull.

Re: Not sure if triv or something else
Green: Thanks. I'll try the string test and see what happens.
PSU4ME: If not triv, and some sort of annual, any thoughts on what to spray on it (or just let it die out on its own)?
Unfortunately it's right in the middle of the puppy area so I want to be careful what I do.

Re: 2022: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Mowed entire yard (push mowed and bagged a few poa annua areas) & sprayed tenacity in various parts to try and figure out what's what (poa triv, annua, other stuff?)...

Not sure if triv or something else
It's definitely what I would call 'roughstalk' (i.e. feels very rough/solid/think), but it's not as light green/growing faster like I normally see. I just noticed it mixed in a really nice part of my lawn. It wasn't noticeable just a week ago, and then all of a sudden there it is... Once the post is...

Re: Poa Trivialis
Does annua not whiten with Tenacity? If not, what happens to annua when hit with tenacity? Does it just (hopefully) start dying off after a few doses?

Sorry, another Poa A question
This is the side of my yard that I don't care too much about, but of course don't want it looking like the pic below either. I swear it wasn't this bad last weekend when I last mowed, otherwise I would have posted much sooner. I happened to look out the window just now and was like 'what the heck?'....

Re: Weed ID please
It's creeping into my yard from my neighbor's yard. He had a quick seeding done late last fall after having a lot of yard/tree work done (he acknowledged it was just a quick job to get some grass in, and he'd have it redone properly this fall). These things are only in the portion of his yard that t...

Ok thank you. Timing aside, are my scoop/sprayer amounts/sizes accurate?

Blindside Herbicide for poa annua?
I was doing some googling and came across https://www.domyown.com/blindside-herbicide-wdg-p-2679.html , which claims to kill poa annua. Is that true? I don't see much (if any) discussion of it here. Or is it only safe to use in the south anyway so it does me no good here in CT (where it's not availa...

Re: Certainty timing for Triv
Sorry for further resurrect an old thread, but can you (anyone, or Andy in particular...) confirm the following: first dose around memorial day should be 2 small scoops in a 2 gallon sprayer, used to cover 1k sf (or possibly just spot spraying?) 14-21 days later second dose of 1 small scoop in 2 gal...

Best time of year to take down a tree (to protect lawn)?
Is it better to have a tree cut down in the winter, when ground is frozen, vs. some other time of year when the truck/big planks they lay down might compress the lawn?
There's no urgency to remove this tree so I can have it done whenever.
Thanks.
