Re: Urea for Late Fall Application
Do you have an Agway nearby? I buy everything there.if they don't have it they will gladly order. Some of the Site one places get a little pissy when asking for one bag. Or many the one by me is just run by D-bags

Re: Using Glyphosate before seeding with TTTF
How bout this......I'm gonna kill my hell strip but I sprayed pgr about 1 1/2 weeks ago. So growth really slowed down. Would that hinder the Glyphosate absorption? Slow down the kill or doesn't make a difference.
When I applied the pgr I didn't plan on renovation just overseed.

That's what most here use as a winterizer, Urea 46-0-0. Like you said after top growth stops

Billybob soil report back yard
https://s26.postimg.cc/qssehlct1/IMG_0585.jpg I'm just starting to get the back in better shape. Mostly TTTF, mulch mow all year along with many leaves each fall. Usually fertilize with milo couple times per year along with Urea as winterizer. It's 10k sqft. I'm in process of renovating 2k sqft. I ...

Re: How much seed?
Wow that's disheartening ...... so by the time the tttf needs a mowing the kbg is in the sprout and pout stage. I wonder what the percentage of how much kbg survives.

Did my first app of .5 lbs of nitrogen (1 lb. urea) and timing worked out perfect, it rained all day.

I just picked up a 50 lb. bag of 46-0-0 at the local agway for $16. That's my best price yet

How much seed?
Ok so I never did a real renovation, just overseeded. I bought seed from Hogan, TTTF w/10 % KBG. I plan on a small 2k sqft area. I hit it twice w/ round up and picked up 2 yds. Of compost. I plan on dropping seed this weekend. How many pounds do you recommend? I was thinking 3-5 lbs. but now I'm thi...

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
Eclipse today. Absolutely nothing noticeable...it was already cloudy/dark out beforehand. Maybe it got a tiny bit darker, but nothing really noticeable. Hand-watered, and still using spray heads at 4 min x4 at 9AM, 10AM, 11AM, and 12PM. Took delivery of new TTTF seed. Dropped some more seed (Bullse...

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens
I would water in urea right after application. It could burn your lawn if you wait too long. Especially on a hot day.

Re: Hogan's grass seed
Yes same experience here. Bob was very friendly, in fact I'm pretty sure he said he was on his cell driving home. He took my order and took the time to answer my questions. I look forward to the outcome of the renovation. And plan on purchasing seed again in the future. I know I'm jumping the gun bu...

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
I put down 4oz per k of both KH and BLSC and a full app of baystate. Supposed to rain about an inch today so I hope the timing works. Having some trouble with my chapin 20v, it only sprays full blast for 1/2 the time then it slows, and today it finally stopped. Ordered a new battery so if it's not ...

Thanks Green, I feel a lot better about the seed now. Going to do the back in sections. Don't have enough sprinklers n timers to do entire yard.

Hogan's grass seed
Doing a small renovation next week. I spoke to a gentleman at Hogan's. we thought the Hogans blend with 10% KBG might be a good option for this area of my yard.
It's a low input area in the back so not looking for elite cultivators.
Anyone use this blend? If so how do you like it?
