How much water do you need to revive a dormant lawn so you can then kill it? Would in inch of water be enough to green it up so you could then apply roundup?

Looks like I will be in the same boat. Watering to awaken grass only to kill it off. Ironic.

Lawn is virtually 100% brown. High temps and no rain for about a month. Accuweather says rain expected 7-6-11 so we will wait and see.

Not very familiar with zoysia and warm season grasses so this is interesting. Congrats on your results after the hard work.

I can look at dead grass a long time. It virtually appears dead now anyway. As a result of high temps and little rain it is extremely brown and may actually be dead already at least in several areas.

No rain of significance in probably a month. Many days over 100...similar to last summmer...Lawn is 100% browned out.
