Re: 2016: What did you do to or on your lawn today?
Cleaned up mulch blown into the yard. Inspected a possible fairy ring. Pre M... the earliest I ever did. Windy and cold but the forsythia is blooming. Had to put on a winter hat and coat and got the sniffles. Neighbor was running a power saw in his driveway so I am not the only one on the street itc...

Re: 1/2 Circle on Lawn
Looked closer at it this evening while putting down pre m. Looked like small amounts of green grass might be intruding into parts of the discolored area. Not enough to know for certain.

Re: 1/2 Circle on Lawn
Plan on putting dimension down today. Rain expected tonight / tomorrow. Hopefully things dry out next week.
I'll keep an eye on it and pull the trigger on fungicide if it looks worse. Thanks for feedback. Will update with photos as it fades, stays the same, or gets worse.

Re: 1/2 Circle on Lawn
Maybe some sort of salt spray was cast in an arc as a truck or something drove by or turned. I live at a "T" intersection.
Must have had some new snow plow drivers this winter since they caused some minor damage to other parts of the lawn close to the street and my driveway.

1/2 Circle on Lawn
When I was outside yesterday my neighbor walked over and asked me if an alien landed on my lawn. Between the sidewalk and the street this is what I found. Unusual and not sure why the grass would appear this way in a perfect half circle. I had no snow mold this year. What are the odds some type of s...

I agree with Hoosier. I don't see a part of your plan where you remove concrete and debris from the yard. Whereever you have rock, etc. you won't have grass.

Could be rabbits. They are destructive where I live. Liquid fence works well.

Another vote for sprinklers. Consider it essential. If it is for me it definitely is in TX.

No forsythia popping here although the tracker projects optimum range next week. Hard to believe I'll see forsythia blooms that soon but we'll see.

Got snow also. Thinking it is the last accumulating snow. Should be gone in a week or so.

When I make a drive I always stock up for a yr or more at a time. Last yr I bought multiple bags of Dimension at about $17 each if I recall.

I think they are good spreaders for the money. I apply everything except milo at the lowest rate and make multiple passes. Even the milo still gets two passes both directions.

Re: Night (early morning) watering: how early is too early?
I only water when absolutely necessary and when I do it runs from 3am to 630am. Then it has the day to soak in and dry. This is generally June - August as needed.
No disease trouble during the summer from this method and it seems to work after trying different times.

Looks like rain all day and heavy at that. Was expecting snow tomorrow but maybe I can mind meld it to go to my buddies in Michigan!
