Re: Erosion Mat
i bought the 4 x112.5 ft roll. it is made from aspen wood fibers. i have had success with that particular mat in the past. This year I am doing about 3500 sq feet out of the 3/4 acre over the next few years. I plan on buying enough rolls for the job. I am not sure peat moss is practical for the amou...

Re: Bewitched, Prosperity or Blueberry?
I used Bewitched and Blueberry last August in a renovation. Separate parts of the lawn received only 1. The Bewitched part is thriving during this summer heat and looks lush and dark green. My blueberry section looked great until summer and now looks like I need to redo that section. I will use bewi...

Re: Newly renovated KBG. Disease or Drought?
I will examine tonight closely and post some pictures. The more I look at the whole back yard, it resembles summer patch, with the irregular swatches surrounded by healthy grass. At this later stage, i was considering a fungicide(depending on confirmation) in order to prevent any further damage.

Newly renovated KBG. Disease or Drought?
I renovated an area of my lawn last August with a mix of Blueberry and Bewitched KBG. Lawn came in great and healthy going into October of last year. Looked great in the spring. Now, most of the renovated lawn looks bad. The part that was renovated is sloped towards the south FYI. I read some articl...

Re: Tow behind sprayer and PRIMO Maxx
Thanks for the help. I actually have a little over an acre, but wanted to start small. I will probably use the portable pump sprayer first and try the fence line and see how the results are.

Tow behind sprayer and PRIMO Maxx
I am trying to figure out how to calculate my application of PGR Primomaxx. My sprayer puts out 2 gpm, and I am supposed to apply 0.6/floz per 1000 sq feet. What about the speed of the tractor? Should I fill up the tank with water and go over the lawn that I am spraying ( 10000 sq ft), and see how l...

Re: Grubs, patch, and reno
Thanks. Will the patch affected areas be okay with compost and seeding? I don't have to worry about fungicide before seeding?

Grubs, patch, and reno
I guess I got lucky with summer patch and grubs in the backyard. I was wanting to reno the backyard in sections each year. My question is whether or not to be concerned with grubs and/or the patch disease before slit seeding? I have dethatched already with my tow-behind dethatcher, have scalped, and...

The lawn companies are wrong?
I am getting ready to send off my samples to Logan. Can't wait for the results to get going on the soil. I can't help but read many others posts and recommendations all over the country. However, I was confused a bit when many lawns had a alkaline PH, but the recommendations said that there is nothi...

Re: Not so dark Kentucky Blue Grass
Sorry for the late reply to more info. To Andy 109017 the sod was laid at the end of October, early November and was watered for a couple weeks. It was very green then. However, I applied nothing for the winter. I started applications in spring time. Looks great up until late May, then looks weak. I...

Not so dark Kentucky Blue Grass
Hello, New to the forum. I have spent hours online researching all grasses and I came up on this site, which is great. Not sure if many will reply to a newbie or not, but I have a question. I got some bluegrass installed two years ago. 1 acre of sod. In the second summer now, and it doesn't look dar...
