Oops, I meant PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl substances), not PFOS.

Re: BSFertilizer and other fertz
Love it for the price. Before I was alternating applications of BSF and urea to save in cost and the 3 hour round trip to pick it up (I would pick up about 20 bags when I was in the Boston area for other purposes). Now with the 50bag plus requirement, I'll rent a trailer and just go with straight BS...

Overseeding kbg into current lawn
My back yard started off 3 years ago with a spring ren of a 3 way elite mix of TTTF, PR, and KBG. https://www.preferredseed.com/detail/?nPID=27 I did not have irrigation that summer and my results were not ideal. Since then I've added irrigation and have gone through 2 rounds of overseeding with eli...

Re: Anyone still dropping Milo?
I dropped baystate about 2-3 weeks ago and now I think I'm dealing with brown patch 😬. At first I thought it was grass going dormant, but the patches are in well irrigated areas. Going to put down disease x tonight. Hopefully the grass will all come back. If not, it was a lesson learned, and at this...

Re: Soil amendments for sandy soil
I essentially live on a sand bar, so we have very sandy soil. Spent a small fortune adding top soil to most of my yard, which in hindsight was wasted money. Money would have been much better spent on adding irrigation from the start (which we ended up doing anyways). From what I've learned, the fine...

Re: Bad news regarding Bay State Fertilizer
I just found a thread that I believe answers my questions -funny how you miss things when trying to use forums with your phone:) . Looks like price is still $3.50 and probably best to reach Carl by calling him directly

Re: Bad news regarding Bay State Fertilizer
Just found this post after emailing Carl this weekend with no response to date. Website says they will only sell directly in 1 ton quantities, otherwise need to purchase from a local store. The store sells at $7/bag, which probably doesn't make worth my time after renting a trailer and driving 3 hou...

Re: "MyHolidayLawn" KBG is on its way out
I've seen in at united seeds (Just checked and its still in stock), where it claims to be ultra slow growing, but states little else. I've been curious, but looking at NTEP and random forum searches via google turned up little to no real world experiences. Do you have any experience with it?

Re: Tenacity for everything?
OK, first of all it's the "Triangle Approach" and not the Pyramid. The question is not answerable with the information provided. It depends on the herbicides used to perform the Triangle Approach. What herbicides were used? Sorry, I meant Triangle approach. Trimec was the herbicide in question. Res...

Re: Tenacity for everything?
Anyone know how soon after overseeing you can use the pyramid approach? I overseeded while filling in low spots with dirt from a small hill in my yard. I wrongly assumed the dirt was essentially sterile since not much seemed to be growing on it. For the first time I now have weeds throughout my yard...

Re: Tenacity Expiration Date
I didn't know they have expiration. I finished my Tenacity last year which I bought in 2010 or 2011. It still worked. I bought a new one today. Where did you store it? I currently store my bottle in the garage but this thread has me reconsidering. I may move it to basement where the temperature is ...

Re: Spectrum's 2020 Soil test
Thanks so much for your reply Andy. Given how consistently high the organic matter has been for the past three years, I'm delighted to see that it has to be real. I even sifted the soil samples through a flour sifter to make sure all grass roots and tiny twigs were removed. I'm attributing it to pur...

Caution with Dithiopyr and Prodiamine
I have seen some write ups on the effect of pre-emergents on root growth, particularly on previous fall seedings. I remember seeing some study results indicating, by pre-emergent, the root growth impact. Does anyone have any info on that? I lost a lot of my links/files when I had a recent computer ...

Re: Spring reno
I want you to use the hatrack on top of your neck -- do you think that plants would have made it for millions of years if one night of cold weather killed them? Cmon. Read all the discussions of dormant seeding - how many nights of cold weather do they face? Andy, I was under the impression that ne...

Thanks Andy.
