Getting ahead of the fungus

Over here in Oklahoma, we're coming into our rainy season, highs reaching 80's and low's in the 60's, and humid. I'm thinking about getting a jump on fungus but don't know exactly the best approach for preventative application. I mostly go for curing as it comes occurs, but always revert to the whol...

Oklahoma City: Mine opened just a few days ago. Pre-M went down 3 weeks ago.

PW405, sorry I just saw the question. It was around $19 at the Shawnee Feed Center.

Looks amazing K&N! Your conditions and prep for the reno seemed perfect.

How many Urea apps are you guys contemplating before shutting it down for the season? You don't seem to be too timid to push the throttle with your level of oversight and washing in the fertilizer.

Re: What are you paying for Urea this year?

I called my local Seed and Feed store that I normally get Urea and asked for a quote for a 50lb bag. The guy asked how I was using it and I replied pretty much weekly applications for yard. He said he'd save my yard from me and wouldn't sell it to me. He said the 0-0-40 or 0-40-0 product was needed ...

Nope! Looks like I had very little wash out from the rains (crazy enough). These areas I'm assuming are major grub damage or I hit them too hard with chemicals.

Re: Fall Starts Today: What's Your Goal?

Kill grubs. All the grubs. Or bugs like grubs. I hate them all. According to the MSU sheet, September should work for me killing the adults right now...unless that bleeping raccoon hasn't eaten them all yet. Chemicals get here Tuesday. I put down the other 50% of my overseed today. I had large areas...

Re: WTH is with the "Nature's Signs" This Year?

My large oak in front is acting weird. I kid you not, the east half of the tree dropped its acorns almost 3 weeks ago while the west half is just now starting to set them. I'm planning on pushing my seed down date to around Oct 1.

Re: Bewitched, Prosperity or Blueberry?

HoosierDaddy, I'm gonna posit that when you mow lower, you remove some of the new growth lighter blades which makes it look darker. Or perhaps mowing lower increases the color saturation from increasing the density of grass! This is fun

Soap Berry Trees

So this thought never occurred to me. It sprinkled here today and my driveway apparently had suds all over it. My wife sent me two pics: https://s6.postimg.cc/chnp9zxfh/IMG_3283.jpg https://s6.postimg.cc/meyq31hvx/IMG_3282.jpg I've never thought about it but the suds happen underneath the soap berry...
