Re: My soil test results
Applied Scotts starter 24-24-4 fertilizer yesterday. It's suppose to rain tonight and tommorrow so it should hit soon.
Purchased 4 bags of Milorganite, 8lbs of epsom salt and 20 mule team borax. Waiting on the zinc, copper and manganese.
Do I mix everything with the Milorganite?

Re: My soil test results
Can I apply the starter and Milorganite at the same time? Or would it be better to apply starter this weekend and then apply Milorganite next weekend?

Re: My soil test results
I can get a 36lb bag of Milorganite for $8.99 not bad and 4 bags would cover my yard as it is 8950 sq. ft. You say apply a lot of it. Should I apply 8 bags at once or spread it out over a month? I'm not sure what the micros are but I could work on them if you tell me what to do and it's not to expen...

Re: My soil test results
Since I don't know the testing parameters, I'm going to run with that (but note that you're on the low side of what they consider normal). I'm assuming you fertilize synthetically (the bagged stuff from a big box store, not Milorganite or grains). If you should stumble across something that happens...

Re: My soil test results
A quick check of those tests doesn't indicate what they're using. That's odd, actually, as most tests lay it out and tell you how they test so you can determine what the appropriate response is. Although in this case, shot at the basic homeowner, I'd imagine they're trying not to complicate things....

Re: My soil test results
Without knowing your calcium, sulfur, or iron levels, no. At worst they'll be harmful (the sulfur, anyway). More likely they're useless. Not knowing the iron, I'm hesitant to recommend adding it. Who did you get the test through? I'm tempted to adjust potassium a bit, but that's going to depend on ...

Yes, that's all that i got back on the test. It is ppm. Do think I should maybe apply gypsum or iron?MorpheusPA wrote:Probably not, since they usually don't work very well anyway.
Was that all they reported on your test? Does it tell you if that's pounds per acre or parts per million?
