Re: Anyone else notice a lot of Rust?

I've got quite a it of rust. Started in early August and keeps spreading. I'm a couple of apps in to the aggressive fall nitrogen regimen so hopefully that takes care of it. I'll do Serenade and corn meal next year to help combat it.

Mowed at 3.5" for the last time of the season. Tomorrow it's mow again at 3". Growing so fast I can't wait more than one day.

Re: Signs of Approaching Autumn Everywhere Here

My lawn is in full per-up mode for at least 10 days now. Mowing every three days. Fall regimen started first of August so I'm "off to the races".

Mowed the lawn. I think the lawn is in the perk- up stage; growing like crazy with great color.

Re: Help ID'ng Disease or Fungus

I spot watered a few patches this morning to see if it was what you said, trying to go dormant. I'll check my heads tomorrow to ensure good coverage.

Thanks HLG,

Re: Help ID'ng Disease or Fungus

I dug underneath 3 of the yellow patches and found nothing out of the ordinary. Soil was dry which surprised me since I irrigate. Anyway, I took a couple more pics.

Help ID'ng Disease or Fungus

Hey Group... I was hoping someone would be able to assist in identifying a disease or fungus that has begun to rear its ugly head. I have a 100% KBG lawn. Yellow spots began appearing 2 weeks ago. I now have approximately a dozen areas some two feet in diameter. I can take better pics if need be. Th...

Lonnie's Soil Test Results 2017

Thanks to everyone who helps with interpreting the soil tests. I greatly appreciate it. Lawn was established in 2015. We bought the home in November 2016. This is the third summer for the lawn. I do not know what the lawn care regimen was by the prior owners. The lawn is 100% Kbg (so I'm told). I do...

I get it...you answered my question though. It cools off quite a bit at night. Therefore I shall fertilize!

Thanks Andy

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens

Andy, My average first frost date is September 11, which would dictate "early fall" nitrogen apps starting around August 1st. Seems early. Temps in the 90's last 30 days and next two weeks going forward. I use milorganite and plan to use urea for last app. Is it ok to begin fall regimen on August 1s...
