Re: Celsius WG is not killing my spurge weeds

Do you have pictures?? I'm wondering if it was the sprayer? I have one similar and the "mist" isn't all that great as its a cone spray and not a fan spray. How much NIS did you add to the solution? Just seeing if we can narrow it down to it not working.

Re: backpack sprayer recommendation

I would definitely go with a battery powered sprayer. I have a .25 acre lot and a Stihl SG20 and it plums wears me out trying to broadcast spray with it.

I reel mowed to 7/18". Aerated, edged, weedeated. Put down pre-em and 19-19-19. Cut my neighbors yard because he's out of town. Kicked my butt in the heat. Double score for the unexpected storm just as i was finishing. ImageUploadedByYard Help1469321545.312187.jpg ImageUploadedByYard Help1469321562...

Can i put down pre-em right now? I'm assuming not.

Yes, you can put down PreM now! It shouldn't affect the grass at all since it is used for the soil.

Re: Bermuda Help!

How's the lawn coming along??? If I were you I would just apply 1 lb of Nitrogen a month and make sure it's getting plenty of water. You would be surprised at how fast it will spread and choke out the weeds. Then start with a good PreM program this fall.

Re: Weed ID Please

When spot spraying Celsius, you just want to mist the weed, don't over do it as you can stunt the growth of grass around the weed. It doesn't take much for the Celsius to work. A good fan type nozzle will work best and not apply too much product.

No. The guy that sharpened mine says he doesnt believe in backlapping. (I dunno anything about the sharpening process). He takes the bedknife off and sharpens it separately. I'm just now getting into the reel mower game. Sent from my iOS device using the Yard Help App Backlapping allows you to "sha...

Re: Iron in Hot Weather

As long as you spray the FAS in the evening and water it in the next morning you will be fine!!! Bermuda is a very tough grass and is very hard to kill and any damage is gone in a week or two.

Re: Toro Greens Master 3050 for $150?

I would say that he would easily be able to get the money he put into it back on that mower since its in tip top shape. Mowers like that brand new go for around $40K. There is a premium for well cared for and maintained reel mowers.

Re: 2016 Southern Lawn Pics

Still a long way to go but a world of difference from the past couple years. My front yard was 85% Centipede/15% Bermuda 2 years ago and 60/40 last year. Then I decided to start cutting low and push the Bermuda. I've still got a lot of areas that are working to grow in. 5/2 https://s32.postimg.cc/q...

They are an easy fix, usually you just have to unscrew the old one and screw in the new one and adjust it and your done.

When you see a sod truck on the highway and get excited and then try to figure out what kind of grass it is! :)

Re: Rotor heads get stuck

If they are that old you may need to replace them but I would try to take them out and clean them as there might be some dirt in the gears. You can check Lowes/Home Depot for new ones or look at http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com. Do you know what you currently have?

I installed the Rachio yesterday and it was very simple and straightforward process and so is using the app. I think I have the basics set up for now but will still do a little more adjusting in the future.
