Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Dropped 2lb urea per thousand. Last mow was last weekend. All I have yet to do is cut down the hydrangeas and hang some Christmas lights.

Re: Snow has melted. Too late for last feeding?
I just dropped my urea a few minutes ago. I mowed last weekend for the last time and I did cut some of the tips off... so it was still growing in the last few weeks.

Re: Super Recycler or HRR?
I love my Toro... but have never used a Honda so I can't compare them. Sometimes I wish I bought the Toro TimeMaster so that I can cut time off my mowing... but I do kind of enjoy mowing so maybe that doesn't make any sense.

Re: Help with Edging
But before I commit to any equipment purchases, I wanted to see if people have ideas on how they manage landscape beds. I have TONS of mulched meandering beds and grass is always spreading in to these areas. How do people manage this? Roundup once per year? Or is there a tool that assists with this...

Re: Core Aeration - Overseed and Fill
That makes sense Andy. I used to be a believer in core aerating as well and never realized the weed factor until I read ATY articles/forum. And now I save $50 every fall.

Re: Core Aeration - Overseed and Fill
I don't core aerate, but it's so interesting that the text book says to do it. Why are they still teaching this in turf management schools?

If I do 12-12-12 monthly starting sometime in May, what would you recommend for Milo frequency? I plan to do Urea in the fall.

Forsythia are in full bloom and I already have 1 mow in! I sprayed a split rate of Prodiamine 65 WDG. Missed last fall so I am paying for it in weeds now.

Re: Mitten's 2019 Soil Test
Thanks Andy! Just curious, any thoughts on how it changed since the 2017 report? If I'm reading it right I didn't really see much improvement. https://i.postimg.cc/DZxy8NWy/Mittens-Soil-Test-2017.jpg I have sourced 12-12-12 locally. Should I apply it like the 2017 plan (every month except August) st...

Mitten's 2019 Soil Test
Here are my 2019 soil test results. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on a plan. I'm interested in the best approach to keep my 2016 Fall Reno in great shape. https://i.postimg.cc/nM4pXWbc/image.png Here are my 2017 spoil test results for reference and the plan I have been following for 2 yea...

Re: Battery Riding Mower
I love my DeWalt electric string trimmer and blower and not fussing with 2 stroke gas, but I don't think I'd pay twice as much for an electric mower (over the gas version). When the prices come down I'll be ready though.

Re: LED bulbs ready for prime time?
Today I bought a 4-pack of 800 lumen (60W equivalent) soft white (2700K) LED bulbs which use 8.5W each at Walmart for $2.88 total. That's only $0.72 per bulb. Yes, I'd say prime time is here for LED bulbs. Yes, now it would be great if I could get them to last even half as long as advertised. The e...

I dropped 12-12-12 last night. Since I don't have automatic sprinklers I wanted to take advantage of the rain overnight.

Mowed and dropped first fertilizer of the year. 12-12-12. Nature watered it in over night.

Re: Who hasn't applied Nitrogen yet?
I haven't dropped any yet... but I wish I would have before all the rain we received this past week. I'd like to help some thin spots from fall seeding fill in.
