Re: Where To Go From Here?
I sent a soil sample off last week and should have the results sometime this week. I will post as soon as I receive something.

Where To Go From Here?
As some of you may have seen in my other thread, I lost most of my centipede grass this past winter due to winter kill. Yesterday, I rented a power rake/dethatcher and dethatched the front yard (see pic below). I'm planning on sprigging or seeding the yard with Bermuda. What's my next steps? Should ...

Re: Lawn leveling and grading
I found Bermuda sod for $135 per pallet (504 SF) here in Columbia. I would look around for some different suppliers and see what they are offering. $200 seems pricey.

Re: Centiweed Probelms
Met with the lawn care provider today and they are claiming it's winter die-off, due to the low temperatures and ice/snow we had. They said that centipede doesn't tolerate weather like that very well. I don't believe that's what happened but I can't prove otherwise. My first step is to fire the lawn...

Re: Centiweed Probelms
I know the rye grass is greener in the spring and looks better than the centipede due to cooler weather. My concern is the other yards that have centipede that are green across the street and my biggest concern are the thin areas. As you can see in the pictures below, something drastic has happened ...

Centiweed Probelms
I've had one of the "lawn care" providers taking care of my yard for the past year and I have some concerns with the way it's looking this spring. I realize that it's been cooler than normal this spring but my other neighbors yards are green. In the pic below, you can see how mine looks. Does this l...

Re: South - Water/Unlevel Ground Issues
I believe your solution 1 is going to be the best route; install a french drain.

Re: 34-3-11 then Celsius???
Mine really greened up over night also. I'm assuming the warmer temperatures last night helped it out. Where's the nearest JDL, around Columbia/Lexington? Also, where's the best place to buy bermuda sod around town? I'm thinking about resodding my backyard with bermuda (I currently have centipede).

Re: How to allow Bermuda to take over Centipede
With the warm temperatures that are predicted here in SC for the next 7 days, will it be okay to go ahead and seed or should I wait until May, when the ground has warmed up some more?

How to allow Bermuda to take over Centipede
I currently have centipede grass in my back yard and quite a few bare spots, due to drainage issues and a dog. I recently corrected all of the drainage problems and would like to reseed my backyard with Bermuda. Bermuda will stand up to foot traffic better than centipede, correct? What steps should ...
