Cut the backyard and cut this fella loose out of our chicken coop. We don't have chickens in it this year but I guess they're still smelling the chickens' scent and are coming to check it out. I had to cut a red bellied water snake loose two weeks ago. http://i769.photobucket.com/albums/xx333/QuakAt...

Re: 2016 Vegetable Garden
Your garden looks great, BTW! Thanks. I still have some straw I need to put down and clean up around the outside but overall, I'm pretty pleased with it so far. I have a smaller 4 x 4 raised bed, that isn't pictured, that I have my cucumbers in. Does anyone have any recommendations on organic pesti...

What are you guys planning on planting this year, and what do you already have in the ground? I currently have kale, romaine lettuce, and broccoli ready to harvest. I just transplanted squash and zucchini plants, as well as seeded okra and cucumbers last night. I also have a couple of strawberry bus...

I'm late to the game and it looks like you've already ordered your new spreader, but used spreaders can be found on Craigslist for fairly cheap. I purchased an Earthway 2150 on Craigslist for $40. An older gentleman was selling it because it was too big for him to push around, and it works flawlessl...

Just curious, but if you don't seed or sod grass, how do you get grass?

I didn't catch that you could connect the sprinklers as one unit. In that case, you wouldn't need the splitter.

Here are my questions: 1- slow release fertilizer or quick release? I don't mind putting fertilizer out every two weeks. 2- Will the post emergent from HD or Lowes be ok with the upcoming temperatures? I'll have to get my hands on some Celsius for the summer. 3- Post Emergent, will it be a spray or...

Welcome to ATY. To address number 1, as gijoe said, it's up to you whether you want to cancel the service or not. Some of them know what they are doing, and some do not. If there's 3 yards in your neighborhood that you think look good, I'd say the lawn service company is doing something right. If yo...
