Results of spring 2017 front yard soil test. Area was reno'ed in 2015 to a Blue Velvet, Bewitched blend and is coming along nicely.

Not sure, but this years sample may have been taken closer to the street than the 2015 test. Yard is located on a curve and the street get salted during winter with the plows throwing the mix onto the lawn.

Thanks in advance for advice.

Sodium isn't a problem on your test results.

The soil is on the Sandy side, just below the sand/loam line. OM is mediocre and could really use your attention.

In the cations, Calcium and Magnesium are a little high, and the Potassium is low. Get Sulfate of Potash (SOP, 0-0-50) and apply at 2 lbs/K monthly through September.

Phosphorus is good.

Iron is weak. At your pH, either FAS or regular apps of Milorganite will work - other sources won't.

In the micro’s, it’s only Boron. Get Twenty Mule Team Laundry Soap from the grocery and apply it at three tablespoons/K every 60 days. Read the Micronutrient Application Guide for application specifics.

That's it!! Find a good Nitrogen source and apply it monthly except July. Consider the Fall Nitrogen Regimens after Labor Day.

Thanks Andy

10-4 on the SOP and will keep on mulching as many leaves as I can steal from the neighbors. Got the 20 Mules and will put it down with the next Milo app.
