Miguel Backyard soil test 2017 KBG

Post by Envieddesigns » June 8th, 2017, 12:08 pm

Good day guys,

So I got my backyard tested attached are the results.
I'm looking to keep that nice dark green look. Last app of Milogranite was April 15th. Kentucky Bluegrass SOD put down 6 years ago. No issues with lawn.

The TEC indicates a sandy loam with a poor OM presence. Do whatever you can to add organic matter to that soil.

In the cations, the Calcium and Magnesium are high and the Potassium low. This leads to a slightly alkaline soil with a pH of 7.1. The Potassium deficiency should be addressed with Sulfate of Potash (SOP, 0-0-50), applied monthly at 2 lbs/K, until September.

Phosphorus is good.

Iron is good, but right on the line where availability problems become serious (pH = 7.1).

In the micro’s, it’s only Boron. Get Twenty Mule Team Laundry Soap from the grocery and apply it at three tablespoons/K every 60 days. Read the Micronutrient Application Guide for application specifics.

Thanks Andy, I've noticed something similar to leaf spot can I treat with a fungicide and do the above or should I wait a few days after applying fungicide? I applied patch pro in early April so I don't know why this came up but we did get crazy rain an cooler temps here in NJ up until a week ago.

Hey Andy my Potash sulf. I got in a granular form so am I ok with mixing that into my Milo along with the 20 mule team soap? Don't want to create a science class mistake lol.
