Hi all, recently received my latest soil test from Logan labs. Please take a look and let me know what is recommended moving forward. Also please include micro recommendations as well.

This is a moderately sandy soil with OK (not perfect) OM numbers.

In the cations, everything is short. Not terrible, but short across the board. This shows itself in the pH of 5.8. Apply a good calcitic lime (Mag-I-Cal/Solu-Cal/Encap) at the Heavy rate on the bag mixed with 1 lb/K of Epsom Salts, every 90 days. Additionally, get Sulfate of Potash (SOP, 0-0-50) and apply it at 2 lbs/K monthly through September.

Phosphorus and Iron are both good.

In the micro’s, it’s Boron, Manganese, Copper and Zinc - the Fearsome Foursome. Get Twenty Mule Team Laundry Soap (grocery), Manganese Sulfate (Amazon/EBay, Copper Sulfate (Amazon/EBay), and Zinc Sulfate (Amazon/Ebay) and apply each at three tablespoons/K every 60 days. Read the Micronutrient Application Guide for application specifics.

Choice of a Nitrogen source is up to you, but when September comes I think you would benefit from one of the Fall Nitrogen Regimens. Be gentle with Nitrogen in July and early August.

Thanks Andy. Question, I applied solucal at 12lb/k heavy rate with Epsom salts as per your recommendation, on July 23. Is it normal to see a fairly significant color change as a result, still as of today? If I didn't know better I would say it looks like a massive Poa A infestation throughout the entire lawn, but it isn't. The color is a lighter shade of green than normal. Was considering a foliar iron app to give some color but just haven't had the time or energy to do it. Any thoughts or concerns?

Here's a pic of the lawn showing the color difference. It's pretty much splotchy evenly throughout the yard though this spot seems the most noticeable. There is no growth rate difference, seedheads, crinkled blades or anything to suggest Poa A or T.

Is the spot (or spots) changing in any way? Size? Color?

It doesn't appear to have changed much or at all since I initially noticed this almost a month ago. I believe it showed up after applying the lime and Epsom salts and then had a brief wet weather spell. Maybe the Epsom salts weren't mixed in thoroughly enough? Some sort of Interaction with SOP applied 1 month prior to that?
