Make sure to add a Link into the Soil Test Interpretation Queue, or you don't have a place in the waiting line.

Re: skippy's 2017 soil test
Skip, that's a somewhat sandy soil with mediocre OM numbers - do whatever you can to add organic matter from free or inexpensive sources.
The Calcium is a little low and the Magnesium is high, but I doubt that it is showing symptoms of a ratio problem.
Potassium is low, as is Phosphorus - that makes for a balanced fertilizer recommendation. Pick a fertilizer like 10-10-10, 19-19-10, etc and post the NPK for app rates and frequency.
Iron's a little off the pace - you may want to drop some Milorganite at bag rate halfway between balanced fertilizer apps.
In the micro’s, it’s Boron and Zinc. Get Twenty Mule Team Laundry Soap (grocery) and Zinc Sulfate (Amazon/EBay), and apply each at three tablespoons/K every 60 days. Read the Micronutrient Application Guide for application specifics.

Yup. I'm a mile north of the Commons. My son lives in Tuxedo Park and can throw stones at the NJ border in Ringwood.

Re: skippy's 2017 soil test
Tell your son to be careful with those stones, I dont wanna get hit.
Ill pick up the 10-10-10 fert & Milo tomorrow from home depot, and i already have the 20 mule team at home. Ive been using it to kill off ants.
Even though im currently in my reno fallow period (seed down date August 30th ), should I be adding the fertilizer , zinc and boron now or during seeding ? and should I be using the 10-10-10 as a starter fertilizer ?
thanks again

You can hold the 10-10-10 until seed-down if you'd like. Getting the Boron and Zinc down before seed-down i preferred.

Re: skippy's 2017 soil test
Hi, I have access to 10- 10-10 , and 12-12-12 fert. I was just wondering if one is preferred over the other. I plan on using one on my seed down day as a starter fert if thats acceptable thanksandy10917 wrote: ↑July 8th, 2017, 8:54 amSkip, that's a somewhat sandy soil with mediocre OM numbers - do whatever you can to add organic matter from free or inexpensive sources.

Re: skippy's 2017 soil test
No preference on anything but price -- 10-10-10 goes down at 10 lbs/K and 12-12-12 at 8.5 lbs/K. Compare prices.
