Soil Conditioner ?
Hello all,
I know I'm gonna get roasted for this but here it goes.
My research on the site indicates that store bought soap/shampoo is less effective than ATY soil conditioner.
My question is how much less effective? 25%? 50%? 75%? Are any of the store bought soap/shampoos more effective than others?
Thanks,
Wayne

You won’t get flamed. Heck, I’ve never used the ATY stuff and only rarely have tried shampoo many years ago.
It’s all optional.

A good clarifying, strong shampoo should be about three quarters as good. The same with most baby shampoos, which don't add in a lot of extra fats or other items.
You'll certainly see the worst performance from a combined shampoo/conditioner, which I wouldn't recommend using at all, or one that's very cheap, watery, and doesn't have a lot of surfactant in it (dollar store stuff, in other words).
Other than that, it depends on the label.
