55k of turf, multiple tests?
I have roughly a 2 acre lot, and 55k of turf. Nearly evenly split north side and south side, former horse pasture and I'm surrounded on 4 sides by open land/pasture. Most of my lot was stripped/regraded for development and I've been working hard to get OM built back up over the last 8 years. Going to get some soil tests done again and trying to decide if it makes sense to get more than one?

It's a balancing act, with trade-offs. You want to know the differences in the soils that you expect to be different. But no more than the number of different "work zones" than you'd like to manage.
My guess? Start with the stripped land as one zone and the pasture areas as another. Then keep your eyes open for areas that respond differently to your regimens.
PS: if you want ST6 to offer/build a plan, then test results need to be through Logan Labs, and the cutoff for 2017 interpretations is 11/01.

What is the typical turn around time on Logan test? I'm planning on getting my samples out Monday 10/23, and I'm assuming 2 day USPS from me to them, delivered 10/25. That's going to be cutting it close for results?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Stop fretting - we're not jerks. We're just trying to get to work on our winter projects on the site. You're OK - just get it done ASAP.

Not to be picky on wording, but I see the recommendation for sampling depth is "at" 4". Are we looking to collect samples "at" that depth, or slices "from" 0-4"?

I am very picky on wording, and the Sticky post at the top of the Soils Forum is specific. See bullet #2:
Sample the inch between 3" and 4" for lawns, no matter what your lab says. For gardens, sample at 6".
