Attapulgite Clay?!

Post by Green » March 13th, 2019, 12:15 am

I had never heard of Attapulgite Clay, but did a search on it, and didn't turn up much.

I was shocked to see it in an organic soil amendment product.

The analysis of this soil amendment product is:

Volcanic Ash: 60%
Coconut Husk Biochar: 30%
Attapulgite Clay: 10%

Ingredients:
Volcanic Ash, Coconut Husk Biochar, and Attapulgite Clay.

Still can't get past the clay. Does having the clay in such a product rule out its use as a potentially helpful soil amendment because my soil is sandy loam soil?

The product? From what I can tell, increase in organic content, nutrient and water holding...a basic no-frills soil conditioner.
