Post by birch » May 13th, 2019, 6:45 pm

Ready to roll!
Birch’s...late...soil test
This year I only did the font lawn as my dogs have been destroying any attempts at and above average back lawn.
Cheers fellas!

Birch, you need to update your Profile with Lawn Size and Experience Level for us to do the Interpretation. Thanks.

My bad Andy...I didn’t realize it was new profile info. My front lawn is about 2500 sq ft. That is what my focus will be on.
Cheers!

The picture is blurry as hell, and doesn't get any better when zoomed. Please retake (the picture?) and post in in this thread. You won't lose your place in line.

Not sure why it’s so blurry. I will try again

With the OM you've got (5%+) the soil is closer to a nice Loam - maybe soon. The TEC is reacting.

The cations need a little work - use good calcitic lime (Encap/Magi-I-Cal/Solucal) at 9 lbs/K every 90 days.

Both Potassium and Phosphorus are just fine.

So is Iron, and at your pH it's available.

In the micro's, it's Boron and Manganese. Up for that in 2019?

You can choose your Nitrogen from nice cheap Urea or if you prefer, Milorganite.

Now that I read what I've written, I guess I'm the bearer of good news!

Thanks Andy. Good to know we continue to move in the right direction! Yup,boron and manganese are a go again. I assume it will Ben same as last year, but I will await you directions. I usually use milo at bag rate every 2-3 weeks. I think I will double it this year. Although my lawn/ soil look healthy, it is thin and patchy. I did not overseen last fall so hopefully the extra milo will help it.
