An interesting article on several aspects of Carbon/Organic Matter in soils, and how they could be a large part of the climate change solution.

One interesting aspect is that tilled soils release CO2 into the atmosphere at 100X the rate that soils build up Carbon...

This will be interesting to read. I was just telling someone the other day how tilling soil releases Carbon in to the air and depletes it from the soil. One of the keys to reducing Carbon in the atmosphere could be finding ways to get that Carbon out of the air and back into the soils where it will benefit them.
