Hello,
Last year I got the following down:
- 2 apps of gypsum (1 app of lime before receiving last years results)
- 2 full apps of 10-10-10
- 1 half rate app of 10-10-10
- 2 bag rate apps of Milorganite with boron
- 3 apps of ferrous sulfate
- 2 apps of humic DG
The backyard is definitely surviving summer better, getting thicker and more green. Did the TEC improve that much from the humic DG? Looking for the best plan of action, including any micronutrients.
Thank you for the help.

Well, damn!!! That is what I was hoping for!!!
The nice TEC bump could be from the Humic DG, although it could just be that it's at the test depth and a bit overstated at the moment. You're still on the sandy side, but moving up nicely. Do the Humic DG again in April and before the hottest part of the Summer at 2 lbs/K. I like it!!!
The cations are now stabilizing and only Potassium needs a tap - 2 lbs/K of Sulfate of Potash ("SOP", 0-0-50) monthly until September.
The Sodium is still a bit of an issue - repeat the Gypsum apps every 60 days at bag rate.
And the Iron is rising but not there yet - repeat the Ferrous Sulfate regimen.
In the micro's, it's just Boron. Repeat every 60 days.
Nice improvements, and I'm not surprised that the lawn is doing well in summer heat!! For Nitrogen, you can switch to Urea or organics now, as you please.

Thank you Andy!
Last year I was dropping gypsum at the “high” bag rate. I’ll switch to the normal bag rate every 60 days. I’ll do some reading on urea vs organics too. Otherwise I’ll keep the plan moving forward. Let’s see where we progress to next year!
