Leifcat's 2022 Soil Test

Post by Leifcat1 » July 25th, 2022, 4:26 pm

Greetings Friends!

I realize that I'm a little late posting, but still wanted to post my 2022 Soil Test for interpretation.

After last years's test it was determined that I had very low potassium levels. I spent most of last year applying two lbs/K of SOP every month (0-0-48 from Yard Mastery). Link to 2021 Test Can Be Found Here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=26582&hilit=leifcat

Location: Northwest Iowa
Lawn Size: 10,000 sq ft
Grass Type: Primarily KBG
Mowing: Rotary mowing at 3 inches. Bagging Clippings
Problems: thin turf, hard and crusty soil, poor germination rates, low grass survival rates, frequent disease
Budget: Unlimited (within reason)

I realize that I have two samples attached. I understand if only one can be interpreted. Apologies in advance if this causes any issues.

I appreciate your help. Thank you so much!

One other item that I forgot to mention, is that the grass is not very dark green. Maybe a shade or two darker than lime green. I assume that this is due to the higher PH and low iron content. I've used Milorganite and Ferrous Sulfate as iron sources in the past, but without much luck. Iowa soils are known for being Alkaline.
