Dave2466 Soil Test for 2023
Good Morning,
Here is my soil test for 2023. On my previous test (in 2021) I believe I sampled lower that 10 Inches and also included some sand from the leech field. This year I was much more careful to stay in the 3-4 inch range.
I did use 30-0-20 fertilizer 4 times last year, along with an application of 0-46-0. Calcitic lime/Epsom salts at 9-2 lbs per K was applied a couple of times. I went easy on the lime.epsom aplications because i had some doubt with my soil test being so lousy in 2021.
Thank you in advance for reviewing my soil test and providing any recommendation,

Well, we weren't too far off, so that's good. At this point, calcium and magnesium are pretty much perfect.
Phosphorus is actually just fine, so we don't need to worry about that. Potassium is moderately low, however, so you can keep using the 30-0-20 as that'll be a great choice. Everything else is in line. K isn't so short that you need to add anything on a special basis, it can catch up over time, and 0.67 pounds or so per application three times a year will be just fine.
Recommendations:
May: Feed with 30-0-20.
September: Feed with 30-0-20.
October: Feed with 30-0-20.

Thank you Morpheus. I may add another feeding of nitrogen in the sept/oct timeframe. I also noticed I typed lower than 10 inches for the soil test in my original post. Quite a typo. I meant below 4-5 inches.

I did sort of wonder.; 10 inches is a pretty deep test If you do add an additional feed, feel free to drop another 30-0-20. The extra K will help.
