Good call raking up that matted stuff. I had to power rake 5500 s.f. today from this wet mess.

Hopefully by next weekend you'll see the first green babies emerge. Its a several week process so don't expect 5 days everywhere!

Understood. I was beginning to wonder if the rain was ever going to let up. Seed bed was nice and damp. That raking was the hardest of the work I did today. I just knew that there was way too much matting in many areas for the seed to ever make contact with the soil.

Only once, and I was even home all day. :) And I was checking more for consistent moisture on the peat from the irrigation... yeah, that's what I was doing... I'm going with that story.

Congrats on seed down.

I learned my lesson two years ago when I did my back after I left my lawn too high when I sprayed then didn't take down right away, turned into a matted mess. Raking was much easier this time but still not fun.

Did your reno make it through the tornado system that just moved through? CRAZY.

I'm scared to look! Actually not too bad here. Everything was north or south of us. We just got some sprinkles.

Dodged another storm this morning. But I'm at day 5 with no germination. I know, I know.. be patient. Pots germinated at day 5. So do I start drinking now? Or should I have already been drinking to prepare for this?

How are you missing all these storms? I had the storm this am and now. I don't think I have the patience for a reno.

We were on the northern edge of the one this morning. The one now is hitting pretty hard. I haven't checked the rain gauge though.

Angela Buckman was just talking about rain everyday until Wednesday.

I wonder what grass seed will be good for a swamp.

I've got pretty good drainage. Just worried about washout and if it'll ever get dry enough to put more down.
