Mowed again today at 2". Some areas look great and others are lagging, as to be expected.

So with Matthew threatening real damage here, I, and other members on this board are facing a lot of rain. How would a new lawn handle 6+ inches of rain on an already saturated soil? I'm guessing most would be runoff? Should I apply serenade or some preventative fungicide? I do have a bit of shade so I would think I'm ripe for fungal issues anyway...

Any fungicide you put down now will be washed away.

Re: NCSU's Front Lawn KBG Reno 2016-Post Matthew fungicide p

I have actinovate and serenade on hand. I also have a bag of Scott's and a bag of Bayer fungicide. Thoughts on when and how to apply these post Matthew? My most mature turf is only 28 days old with younger/newly seeded areas which I would assume they are toast at this point.

3-4 inches at this point with 5+ likely

Apply when there is no more heavy rain in the forecast.

Some of each? Or is there a combination that would be more effective?

Friday night shot before the storm along with shots from this morning. I think I'm in decent shape. Going to try and get as much spreading as I can the rest of the fall

Looks like yours came out pretty well. Are you planning on reseeding or waiting till spring?

Not going to reseed at this point. If I had some elite Kbg on hand, maybe, but I'm completely out. Plan is to make the most out of the rest of our growing season with alfalfa/urea/milo and frequent mowing to encourage spreading.

I'm thinking Leaf spot? Don't really know what I'm looking for. Sprayed with serenade last week and actinovate yesterday. Hoping that, and the cool dry air nips it in the bud.

It's Day 45 and things are looking pretty good all things considered. The fungus I was seeing seems to have stopped in its tracks and looks like a nonissue. I mowed at 2 inches today and sprayed serenade+milk thru hose end.

In 3rd pic, those blade ends look a little rough. Get the mower sharpened.

Quick update. Been busy getting married and Honeymooning but the yard is coming along nicely. Has really darkened up.
