I see you used Sumagrow. In your opinion did it help any?

Probably. My soil was very abysmal at the start of my Reno. I have applied sumagrow, compost tea, and other soil microbe solutions very liberally in order improve soil structure. I am considering buying another half gallon of sumagrow to spray through the fall, but haven't decided yet.

NCSU, Thanks for the update!!! All you guys last 2-3 years who did KBG (and of course NCLG) motivated me to get on board as well. I was curious how you fared with all the fungal pressure and the heat this month. Glad to see it's holding up like a champ!

Re: NCSU's Front Lawn KBG Reno 2016 *summer 2017 update*
Definitely had quite a bit of rust in February and march, but that quickly disappeared in April when growth picked up. As far as the summer, I have what I believe to be summer patch in areas that are compacted and in direct sun for long portions of the day. Dropped Bayer fungus control for that and it stopped any spreading. These areas should close up nicely in the fall. I would definitely recommend KBG in North Carolina if you are able to irrigate and give it plenty of TLC

So what's my play here fertilizer wise? Last fert its had was bag rate Milo back in late may/early june. I didn't want any extra N contributing to fungus. I have minor weed pressure really. I was going to go bag rate starter fert+tenacity and bag rate milo once the heat breaks, around early September. Is the starter fert a dumb idea? I figure my soil is lacking. I have miracle grow hi N as well as liquid tenacity...I'm really excited to see this fall when it really takes off

Wait for your temps to break before pushing it. Hard to say on the starter fert without a soil test. The thing about P is you don't need to add it if your soil has enough in most scenarios. I wouldn't drop the starter with mesotrione anyways.

So I guess I will stick to milo and miracle gro this fall.
I applied dimension 007 last fall and this spring.
Backyard is toast. I spent all summer watering and babying the front lawn to keep it alive. What wasn't killed by the heat I killed with roundup already. I'm going to hit it once more and drop 2# Bewitched back there this weekend!
