Class of 2016 Renovations Graduation Pix !!!

Post by andy10917 » May 20th, 2017, 9:03 am

Believe it or not, it's almost Memorial Day, and that means it's time to stand up and say "I did that!" -- time to post the results of your 2016 Renovation. Graduation Day is Memorial Day, and then you become just one more success and we begin concentrating on the efforts of the Class of 2017, who will be nearing the "ten weeks left" preparations.

This is a photo album, and not a blog to discuss your efforts, or for people to comment or ask questions. If it ain't a picture or the text is more than a couple of sentences, it WILL be removed.

Congrats to all the Class of 2016 members!!! Let's see the results...

Thanks Andy! It feels great. Some people had their doubts that I could do it but I did!

Bewitched, Blueberry, Prosperity. Front yard side with tree has fine fescue mixed with Bewitched - seems to be doing well in the shade.

Back in fall 2015, I had a contractor do some grading, and cover it with a temporary cover crop. The other grass is unwanted zoysia.

Before:

I did a total renovation (~4K), for a cool season only lawn. I did the first 2017 application of N this weekend.

After:

Awfully long way to go still. Lots of LDS cropping up. Feeling Georgia Dads first year KBG pain.

Thanks to all who have provided advice on making this happen! Still a few areas of work, but it's full steam ahead on the front Reno this year. Bewitched mono in the cards? Maybe...

My tttf front yard renovation. Learned a ton during the process and looks much better than I anticipated. Worst spots are the two corners where trees used to be. I'm turning them into flower beds.
