Maybe a dumb question, but I'll be seeding my lawn in Connecticut this upcoming weekend. I plan to add soil moist seed coat to my grass seed (recommended rate) and will also top dress the seed with a thin layer of peat moss. Is this overkill? Will doing adding both rot my seed?
Thanks,
Seed moist & peat moss too much?

I'd recommend using both. They work well together. No, it's not overkill.

^Agreed. Just mix the seed moist in several small batches. I find it makes a mess and requires cleaning of the spreader.
