No, April. 0.5 tsp/k, which is around 3 month rate, but overlaps happen, and any place with the 5 month rate would have still been active at seed down.

That's the best explaination i have for the striping, especially hiven that there's no weed pressure there either.

1 month after seed down:

First cut was today @1.75 inches. First urea drop was 3 days ago.

I reseeded under the tree about two weeks ago, where the storm washed everything out, and some has come up, but I'm not expecting a lawn this year. I'm very happy with everywhere i didn't add topsoil.

Not exactly the envy of the neighborhood, but not terrible either. I still have about 30 days of good growth ahead of me and the ground here usually doesn't freeze until Thanksgiving. I've been cutting 2x weekly at 1.75 and giving about 0.35lbs N weekly as urea.

The sparse areas aren't completely baren, they've just failed to thrive. Transplanted pots are doing well, and i have some very good hidden donor areas for plugging.

For me, 1.75" is too low for a new lawn. Not sure if everyone agrees, but worth considering cutting higher, but more often,.
