Thoughts on what's happening here?

New reno, about a month in. Bewitched mono. Compost at about an inch, seed down, lite spread of peat moss, tenacity, stater per bag rate. Just started noticing this today. Any ideas? It was growing great, but this has me concerned. No one walks on this grass so it should be damage from that.

That could be Damping-Off Disease. Any chance you're overwatering?

Yeah, that’s certainly possible, I’ll dial it back. Hopefully Mother Nature helps too, lots of rain forecasted .

No need to water for the next 48 hours -- it's coming down in buckets here from what is left of hurricane Florence, which is just what would normally be a lot of rain, but nothing compared to what was dumped on the Carolinas!
