Tenacity After Seed Down
Hi All,
I laid down seed for my renovation 36 hours ago. All went well, or so I hope.
I'm now thinking about the tenacity I have sitting in my shed. Would it be wise to broadcast an application on my recently laid seed as a Pre-M, and if so would 48 hours post seed down be a problem? I know its not supposed to have an effect of grass, though I don't want to impede germination.
If its advisable, at what rate to I apply, and do I skip the surfactant?
Thanks!
Bryan

Yes, very wise. Did you actually read the label? Seems that the section on New Seedings answers all of your questions.
Read the entire label. Then ask here for clarification if anything seems confusing.

48 hours later is no issue at all. I've done it 5 days later (not recommended!!!) without a disaster.

I did it 4 days after seed down ( had no germination at the time ) and it bleached a decent amount of the newly germinated seeds . They’re growing fine it’s just the color that’s kinda strange. It’s like a white/purple color .

That outcome is possibly more likely if you use a surfactant. But it can happen even without. Your results may vary applying as late as day 4 or 5. I was lucky.
