Lawn Reno advice

Post by reggie517 » June 14th, 2020, 9:51 pm

So I got hit with some grubs this year and the TTTF oversees I did last fall didn’t take that great. Looking to do a a little Reno. I also had to round up a few dozen spots of poa so I have aome bare spots.

I am thinking of grabbing some seed to toss down on the bare spots I hit with round up to let them get a jump start before the fall Reno.

I am also thinking of overseeding in August this year to give the grass more time to germinate and grow. I have irrigation so it shouldn’t be an issue.

My main question, should I stick with the TTTF or should I grab some TTTF with some KBG, or I am might just go full KBG but I know results can be not great overseeding KBG

I am looking at United Seed Super Turf 2 or Hogan’s TTTF blend with KGB if I go with the mix not sure in the straight KBG mix but going with United or Hogan.

Anyone have a preference to either United or Hogan? I have used both but I think the United took better in my yard.

Thanks for any feedback
