You Don't Always Need RU...
i didn't create a reno thread for this but did my own trial this year to see what would happen. After the drought of a summer we had in MA my lawn was toast and had crabgrass & yellow foxtail galore. I decided to overseed the whole thing with PRG again but I did nothing for prep other than scalp everything that was there. Here are some photos of what I consider a great success (before pic on the bottom of the split screen)
Figured I'd share for any others who have wondered if it's worth a shot to skip nuking altogether.

Thanks and nope on the irrigation, still dragging hoses as needed,n hoping to change that in the spring though

Here it is, spring 2021. Have you gotten any rain since the snow melted? Do you see any greening yet? Have you used a preemergent?

Got some good rain today for the first time since the snow melt. Definitely greening up quite a bit but I still do have some trouble spots where ice cover occurs and it dies every winter. Need to bring in some loam and level those spots as they are all low areas where the snow melt pools. No preemergent yet.
