Overseed didn’t take?

This past fall I overseeded my lawn and some bare spots with hogan seed blend. It looked great before winter. Now all the spots look dead after the winter. I noticed some grass sprouting but most looks dead.

Did I not give the grass enough time before winter? I overseeded at the beginning of Sept?

I was going to put my dimension down this weekend but wondering if I should overseed again.

I posted some before and after

I would say to chill a while. It looks like at best you have some warm season grass that goes dormant. If that is what it is it will green up soon. On the other hand take a little time to study Nimblewill. Once you figure out your situation you can formulate an action plan. It is still very early in the year for us Northerners. You might want to apply only enough Dimension to last Until august 1st, in case you might want to do some fall seeding.

I was thinking of applying dimension twice, once at two pounds per 1k, April and Jun instead of one big dose, what are your thoughts?

There shouldn't be any warm season grass in there, should be mostly TTTF with some KBG and a little PR.

I will put down my lime and dimension and hit it will some water and see how it looks come May.

I don't think I have any nimblewill based on how it looks in the pictures I saw but will dig a little deeper.

Thanks for thoughts

I am totally ignorant about rates, etcetera regarding Dimension. Lots of species shouldn't be in our yards, and yet...
