RU on dormant grass?

Oh oh. Does RU work on dormant grass (contractor mix of PR, KBG and FF)?

Since I knew I'd be nuking my front lawn this year, I was a little lax in watering this past (dry) month, and large areas of the front yard are brown. I applied RU 2 days ago, and have been watering twice daily since. Plan to scalp today before the dying grass starts to lie down, and then wait to see what sprouts in the next week.

I know I will likely need to make another application of RU anyway, but do I need to wake the grass up before it will work at all?

I feel so ashamed that I did not catch this earlier. Have mercy.

Yes you need to wake up the old lawn. Give her lots of water in the next week or two then ru again
