llO0DQLE Front Lawn 2022

Post by llO0DQLE » June 19th, 2022, 4:23 pm

So I've been away for a while, lawn has been neglected for 3 years due to personal life circumstances. The front lawn was reno'd to a monostand of Bewitched in 2018.

I've done nothing to the lawn since 2019 and the state of things at the start of the season can be seen below.

I don't have much time these days to work on the lawn so I'm keeping it simple. This is not a renovation per se, more a rejuvenation. I've been nurturing it and reviving it, doing all the usual things but only working on the front lawn due to time constraints. The back lawn is a disaster at this time. It will be a renovation project down the road. I've just been spoon feeding synthetic fert, some Milo, Kelp, Humic Acid, SLES, watering a lot etc. Progress pic to follow in a couple days to show 1 month's progress.

It can be hard to keep up sometimes and heartbreaking when it starts to go wrong. Good luck with your efforts!

So glad to see your post. In all honesty, the lawn looks like it mostly just needs some fertilizer to get the KBG to do its thing and spread back in again!

Hi KNN,

Yes you're right. I hammered it with spoon feeding synthetic N, some Milo and lots of irrigation and this is where we are now.

It's looking pretty decent but still a long ways away from what it once was. In time it will get there.

Looking better! Just needs some more love and time to repair itself!
