Tomato wilt in Indiana

Post by cheryldear » August 7th, 2015, 7:08 pm

This is my second year in Indiana with a new vegetable garden. We brought in 20 tons of topsoil and have the most tremendous yield. I have had tomatoes and green beans aplenty! I did notice that some of my tomato plants are beginning to have a wilt. I believe that most wilts originate in the soil. Should I pull up those plants (even though they are continuing to produce tomatoes) to prevent more wilt from being distributed throughout my soil? In Minnesota where we lived for 30 years, I had a wilt almost immediately after the first burst of tomatoes and the plants stopped producing which was very disappointing so I hate to see a trend that may get worse in the years to come. Thanks!
