is Milorganite safe for vegetables? The lawn is one thing, but I was skeptical about putting it on things meant for human consumption.

Re: tomatoes and peppers with milorganite
I've read that it's safe to use in food gardens. I've not every personally used it in my veggie garden. I suppose I have little chipmunk port-a-potties all over the yard, including the veggie garden, but I just can't get over the ewww factor of using Milorganite there.Big Cat wrote:is Milorganite safe for vegetables? Yep, works good...
It's actually pretty high in "Minor elements"... Not so high that you don't need to put any Lime on the tomatoes to combat Blossom End Rot... but they are DeeLish!

If you follow my tips and tricks you will not need any fertilizer after planting. As a very dear friend of mine (Darrel Merril aka Tomato Man rip) said:
